Wellcare Application Tracker

Help Prospects Stay Informed with the Application Tracker

Helping prospective Wellcare members stay informed about the status of their application and next steps can help them feel more confident in their plan decision and can increase their overall satisfaction with the sales process. The Application Tracker is a quick and easy way for Wellcare applicants to check the status of their Medicare applications. As a reminder, the Application tracker is intended only for member use. Agents should encourage prospective members to track their own application with the Application Tracker.

The tracker provides real-time information on the application status, including whether the application has been approved, denied, or if we need additional information to process the application.

With this tool, applicants get real-time updates and no longer need to wait 5-10 days to get the official letter on their application status.

Important Note: As an agent, your best tool for tracking applications remains Centene Workbench through your Single Sign-on Portal.

How to use the Application Tracker

To check their application status:

  1. Visit the tracker webpage (also found on the Wellcare homepage)
  2. Enter their information, including last namedate of birth, and Medicare number.
  3. View their status. The applicant will see their status as either:
  • Approved: No further action needed. The application was approved.
  • Pending CMS Approval: CMS is still reviewing the application.
  • In Process: The application is still being reviewed.
  • More Information Needed: The additional information needed for the application will be listed. Applicants can submit the requested information through the tracker tool. This is time sensitive.
  • Canceled: The applicant canceled the application request.
  • Denied: The application was denied. A reason for the denial will be provided. Note: A denial status may show if an applicant is enrolling outside of the eligible enrollment period.
